Located just south of Michigan's northernmost county, Keweenaw County, Houghton County includes: Houghton, Hancock, Calumet, Lake Linden, South Range, Copper City, and Laurium.

Michigan's most populous county contains the largest city in the U.P., Marquette. Home to Northern Michigan University, the city is culturally abundant and beautifully surrounded by Lake Superior.
